IPOD - UPOD - WEPOD - PODCAST!

Have been getting into listening to Podcasts recently! Think amateur Blogs, but audio versions, taped in basements and bedrooms and on the road around the world, then streamed to your PC and synched onto you Ipod or MP3 player. Most of it is trash, but sometimes you come across a 'feed' that is interesting, unique and/or bizarre! I'm regularly listening to the 'Dawn and Drew Show,' the 'Reel Review' film reviews, and 'Green Dragon,' best of unsigned bands.

Forgot to mention that we had storms and floods - the worst in living memory - in January. B's site has more pictures. Posted by Hello

In the Land of the Living ...

Well, it's been a while since I updated this BLog, but I am back in the Land of the Living. Since Samhain we've been settling into our new life here at the Mill, enjoying Yule, and even having a big birthday bash for our joint birthdays - well, B and I have a birthday one day apart (and a few years) so January is always a good reason for a party. It was a curious mix of friends, former colleagues, present colleagues, and passing acqaintances. Hopefully some new friends-to-be in the mix as well. Apparently people with larger social networks have a higher life expectancy (I don't know if that's psychology or the fact you're more likely to know a good doctor or know someone who does :-)

On the social side, as we're gravitating more to live here for good now, I joined the Keswick Film Club, and have already been to see 'Hero' and am looking forward to watching about 6-7 films next weekend at the Annual Film Festival. The Keswick cinema - Alhambra - is a gem!

Our digital camera is letting in more light than it should, so needs replacing (it's done good service, and I'll probably replace it with another Canon Ixus, but a model up). Hece, no photographs recently. But I'll see if there are any recent interesting one's to hand.

Current Guilty Secret: I'm enjoying watching "Desperate Housewives"

Last Walk done: Today, the quarry/mines at Borrowdale.

Book being read: The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency.
