I must be getting old - I've been taking pictures of flowers all the time, and feel like Spring is now my favourite season rather than Autumn. So much Life everywhere, I get a little delirious! 

Went for a walk this weekend - was going to go up Haystacks, but felt a little too ill so just went down to the Lake. The new Launch they've got for the tourists reminds me of a boat from a Vietnam war-film, although I can't say why! I joke about it having seen the Tet Offensive, and now it's retired. 

Strange Seasons

Well, one day it's raining, the next it's high summer. Inbetween, the Trees are half-way between Spring and Autumn. We go for walks when it's warm, and stay inside when it ain't.

Beltane

It's gone Beltane, but we've only just got our altar changed and new incense blended. A heady blend of Sandalwood, Pine, Myrrh and Jasmine Oil, with Rose Petals. I love creating the incense from so many different components; the powder of sandalwood, the hard resin of Myrrh, the Oil and breaking chips of Chinese Pine bark into the blend, then scattering petals upon it. It's fragrance is interesting - I daresay next time I'll probably change the ratio of Pine to SandalWood, and perhaps use a little more oil to make it more flowery rather than woody.
